Guess the company from one year of its stock.
Ten years of weekly returns for 112 companies most people have heard of. Every strip is one company's year, from the first week of January to the last week of December.
March 2020 is red for nearly everyone. 2021's meme stocks are green beyond the scale. A company having a good year drifts green and stays there.
What one band is. One band is one week of a calendar year. The colour is the stock's return so far that year: red is down, green is up, near-white is flat.

Three things to look for.
You do not need to remember the data. You need to know what kind of shape the thing you are thinking of would make.
- Know the year. All four options are the same year, so the market's mood that year sets the baseline.
- Find the shock.A sudden switch from green to red is an earnings miss or a scandal. Those are the most datable bands.
- Look at the end.The last band is the full-year return.
Stocks is a $0.99 one-time unlock — or part of the $9.99 unlock that includes every category, now and later. It also turns up in the free daily puzzle.
