Press kit
Huezle, for anyone writing about it.
Huezle is a daily puzzle made of colour. Every strip is drawn from real data — a minute of an NBA game, an episode of a TV season, a chapter of a novel, a state in an election — and you guess which of four it is.
NBA Playoffs
The score of one playoff game, minute by minute.
- Away Leading
- Tied
- Home Leading
A real NBA Finals game, one band per minute: purple when the away team led, gold when the home team did.
The short version
Huezle is a daily puzzle made of colour. Every strip is drawn from real data — a minute of an NBA game, an episode of a TV season, a chapter of a novel, a state in an election — and you guess which of four it is.
The longer version
Huezle turns real things into colour. Each puzzle is one strip of coloured bands, and each band is a slice of something that actually happened: a minute of a basketball game coloured by who was ahead, an episode of a TV season coloured by its rating, a chapter of a classic novel coloured by the mood of its prose. Read the shape, then pick which of four things it is. There is one daily puzzle, the same for everybody, from a different category each day, and a share picture that shows how you did without giving the answer away. Seventeen categories, no ads, no account, no tracking, and it works offline. Huezle is made by one independent developer.

What makes it different
- Every strip is real data, drawn live. No strip is a stored picture; the app draws each one from numbers when you play. Each category is checked against known facts before it ships — 1984 has to be a landslide and the 2015-16 Premier League has to put Leicester top, or the data is rejected.
- You reason rather than recall. You do not need to have watched every game. A strip that is solid red is a landslide; a TV season that turns green at the end built to its finale.
- The share never spoils it. Like Wordle’s squares, the share picture shows the strip and whether you got it, never the answer.
- It asks nothing of you. No account, no ads, no timer, no tracking. One puzzle a day, and an optional reminder that stops by itself.
